Appendix A <br /> Contractor will provide technical assistance and support in the areas of business recruitment, <br /> retention and expansion. Activities will include but not be limited to: <br /> • Respond to inquiries and requests by supplying data that will aid in business recruitment <br /> for the City. <br /> • Work in partnership with the real estate community, including regional and national site <br /> selectors,to market and promote the City as a place for business. <br /> • Assist the City in marketing targeted areas for redevelopment. <br /> • Identify and contact local businesses for targeted business retention and expansion visits. <br /> • Take a leading role in the compilation and distribution of data in response to site <br /> selection efforts, including but not limited to those initiated by the State of Washington <br /> and trade activities. <br /> • Provide staffing and general support for Snohomish County Citizens for Improved <br /> Transportation (SCCIT) as an affiliate organization to EASC. SCCIT is engaged in the <br /> developing and promoting a coordinated, multi-model transportation system designed to <br /> move people, goods and freight in and through Snohomish County. <br /> • Coordinate with the City of Everett regarding the development of an annual legislative <br /> agenda in support of transportation, education and workforce training and economic <br /> development. These advocacy efforts will focus on the Washington State Legislature, <br /> agencies and organizations of the State of Washington, and the private sector. <br /> • Provide annual presentations to the City Council regarding the state of the local economy <br /> with special emphasis on issues and trends impacting the City. Additionally, provide an <br /> annual report detailing the activities of the Contractor with specific reference to the <br /> activities mentioned above. <br /> 3 <br />
