PROJECT 2—RESERVOIR LID EVALUATION CG Engineering will provide a structural evaluation of the cracks observed on the top side of the lid structure and summarize our findings in a written report.This project will evaluate the structural condition of the roof and roof support system in the Phase I portion of the project. Phase II of the project,if the City chooses,would be the design of the needed structural repairs,which will be addressed separately in an amendment to this scope of work. Task 1 —Project Management CG Engineering will manage all aspects of the structural scope,schedule and budget. Project management services include. 1.1 Correspondence and coordination with City project manager and staff 1.2 CG Engineering staff management Assumptions • City will take the lead of overall project management. Deliverables • Coordination and correspondence with City staff. Task 2—Data Collection and Field Investigation CG Engineering will evaluate existing conditions and collect data of the reservoir lid. 2.1 Review available existing records for the reservoir. 2.2 Conduct(I)site visit with City staff to evaluate the as-built conditions of the existing reservoir lid. Assumptions • City will provide us with available drawings and information. • City will coordinate and schedule site visit access to the reservoir. • We have assumed that CG Engineering staff will be allowed inside reservoir,accompanied by City staff. Access to the investigation areas will be gained by boat provided by the City. It is our understanding that, in order to reach the perimeter supports,we will have to exit the boat and climb up the inclined surface of the reservoir. • We do not anticipate the need for destructive investigation or materials testing. Deliverables • Photos and field notes will be provided to City staff if requested. Task 3—Structural Evaluation CG Engineering will evaluate data collected in the above tasks,provide structural analysis of framing members(if necessary),and prepare a written evaluation report. 3.1 Evaluate the reservoir lid cracking and analyze key components of the lid structure as necessary. 3.2 Develop a professional opinion of the probable causes of the cracking and conceptual recommendations for repair. 3.3 Prepare a written report of our findings.
