f <br /> 1 the Building Official shall report the facts to the <br /> 2 City Council of the City of Everett and the City <br /> 3 Council may cause a resolution to be passed author- <br /> 4 izing the Building Official to affect the immediate <br /> 5 repair, securing, vacation or demolition of the <br /> 6 dangerous building. The costs of the emergency repair, <br /> 7 securing, vacation, or demolition of such dangerous <br /> 8 buildings shall be collected in the same manner as <br /> 9 provided in Chapter Nine. <br /> 10 Section 12 : Section 203 of the Uniform Code for the <br /> 11 Abatement of Dangerous Buildings is hereby amended by the <br /> 12 addition of the following: <br /> 13 Any person, firm or corporation violating any <br /> 14 provision of this Code shall be deemed guilty of a <br /> 15 misdemeanor and, upon conviction thereof, shall <br /> 16 be punishable by a fine not to exceed five hundred <br /> 17 dollars ($500) or by imprisonment in jail not to <br /> 18 exceed six (6) months , or both fine and imprisonment. <br /> 19 Each separate day or any portion thereof, during <br /> 20 which any violation of this Code occurs or continues, <br /> 21 shall be deemed to constitute a separate offense and, <br /> 22 upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable as <br /> 23 herein provided. The issuance or granting of a <br /> 24 permit or approval of plans and specifications shall <br /> 25 not be deemed or construed to be a permit for , or an <br /> 26 approval of, any violation of any of the provisions <br /> 27 of this Code. No permit presuming to give authority <br /> 28 to violate or cancel the provisions of this Code shall <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -13- <br />
