1 Section 25: Section 77.304 of the Uniform Fire Code is hereby amended by <br /> 2 deleting: <br /> 3 <br /> (a) Except when subject to U. S. Department of Transportation <br /> 4 regulations, blasting agents shall be stored, handled and used in the <br /> same manner as explosives. <br /> 5 <br /> (b) Any ammonium nitrate stored at a closer distance to the blasting <br /> 6 agent storage area than as provided in (c) below shall be added to <br /> the quantity of blasting agents to calculate the total quantity <br /> 7 involved for application of the American Table of Distance. <br /> 8 (c) Minimum intra-plant separation distances between mixing units and <br /> the ammonium nitrate storage areas and blasting agent storage <br /> 9 areas shall be in conformity with the Table of Recommended <br /> Separation Distances of Ammonium Nitrate and Blasting Agents <br /> 10 from Explosives or Blasting Agents as set forth in U. F. C. Standard <br /> No. 77-1. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 and inserting in its place: <br /> 13 <br /> (a) The permanent storage of explosives and blasting agents shall be <br /> 14 prohibited within the boundaries of the City of Everett. <br /> 15 <br /> Section 26: Article 78, Sections 78.101 through 78.106 inclusive, is hereby <br /> 16 <br /> amended by deleting it in its entirety. <br /> 17 <br /> Section 27: Section 79.201(a) of the Uniform Fire Code is hereby amended by <br /> 18 <br /> deleting: <br /> 19 <br /> 20 The storage of Classes I and II liquids in aboveground tanks outside of <br /> buildings is prohibited within the limits established by law as the limits of <br /> 21 the districts in which such storage is to be prohibited. <br /> 22 <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 23 <br /> 24 The storage of Class I and II liquids in aboveground tanks outside of <br /> buildings is prohibited within Classifications of R-4, R-5, B-1, B-2, B-3 <br /> 25 and C-1 of the Zoning Code. <br /> 26 <br /> Section 28: Section 20.2, Part I, Administration, of the Uniform Plumbing Code <br /> 27 <br /> is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Section 20.2 - Duties and Powers of the Administrative Authority <br /> 30 (a) The Administrative Authority may appoint such assistants, <br /> deputies, inspectors or other employees as are authorized to carry <br /> 31 out the functions of the department and this Code. <br /> 32 -13- <br />
