• 1 Right of Entry 2 (b) Whenever necessary to make an inspection to enforce any of the provisions of this Code, or whenever the Administrative Authority 3 or his authorized representative has reasonable cause to believe that there exists in any building or upon any premises, any 4 condition which makes such building or premises unsafe as defined in this Code, the Administrative Authority or his authorized 5 representative may enter such building or premises at all reasonable times to inspect the same or to perform any duty 6 imposed upon the Administrative Authority by this Code; provided that if such building or premises be occupied, he shall first present 7 proper credentials and demand entry; and if such building or proper credentials and demand entry; and if such building or premises be 8 occupied, he shall first make a reasonable effort tolocate the owner or other persons having charge or control of the building or 9 premises and demand entry. If such entry is refused, the Administrative Authority or his authorized representative shall 10 have recourse to every remedy provided by law to secure entry. 11 "Authorized Representative" shall include the persons named in Section 20.2(a) of this Code. 12 (c) No owner or occupant or any other person having charge, care of 13 control of any building or premises shall fail or neglect, after proper demand is made as herein provided, to properly permit entry 14 therein by the Administrative Authority or his authorized representative for the purpose of inspection and examination 15 pursuant to this Code. Any person violating this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. 16 17 and inserting in its place: 18 Section 20.2 - Duties and Powers of the Administrative Authority 19 (a) The Building Official, with the approval of the chief appointing 20 authority, may appoint such assistants, deputies, inspectors or other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions of the 21 department and this Code. 22 Right of Entry 23 (b) Whenever necessary to make an inspection to enforce any provision 24 of this ordinance, the Building Official or his authorized representative may enter any building or premises as prescribed in 25 Ordinance No. 315-74. 26 Section 29: Section 20.3 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is amended to read as 27 follows: 28 29 Violations and Penalties. 30 20.3.
