• <br /> 1 Right of Entry <br /> 2 (b) Whenever necessary to make an inspection to enforce any of the <br /> provisions of this Code, or whenever the Administrative Authority <br /> 3 or his authorized representative has reasonable cause to believe <br /> that there exists in any building or upon any premises, any <br /> 4 condition which makes such building or premises unsafe as defined <br /> in this Code, the Administrative Authority or his authorized <br /> 5 representative may enter such building or premises at all <br /> reasonable times to inspect the same or to perform any duty <br /> 6 imposed upon the Administrative Authority by this Code; provided <br /> that if such building or premises be occupied, he shall first present <br /> 7 proper credentials and demand entry; and if such building or proper <br /> credentials and demand entry; and if such building or premises be <br /> 8 occupied, he shall first make a reasonable effort tolocate the <br /> owner or other persons having charge or control of the building or <br /> 9 premises and demand entry. If such entry is refused, the <br /> Administrative Authority or his authorized representative shall <br /> 10 have recourse to every remedy provided by law to secure entry. <br /> 11 "Authorized Representative" shall include the persons named in Section <br /> 20.2(a) of this Code. <br /> 12 <br /> (c) No owner or occupant or any other person having charge, care of <br /> 13 control of any building or premises shall fail or neglect, after <br /> proper demand is made as herein provided, to properly permit entry <br /> 14 therein by the Administrative Authority or his authorized <br /> representative for the purpose of inspection and examination <br /> 15 pursuant to this Code. Any person violating this subsection shall be <br /> guilty of a misdemeanor. <br /> 16 <br /> 17 and inserting in its place: <br /> 18 <br /> Section 20.2 - Duties and Powers of the Administrative Authority <br /> 19 <br /> (a) The Building Official, with the approval of the chief appointing <br /> 20 authority, may appoint such assistants, deputies, inspectors or <br /> other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions of the <br /> 21 department and this Code. <br /> 22 <br /> Right of Entry <br /> 23 <br /> (b) Whenever necessary to make an inspection to enforce any provision <br /> 24 of this ordinance, the Building Official or his authorized <br /> representative may enter any building or premises as prescribed in <br /> 25 Ordinance No. 315-74. <br /> 26 Section 29: Section 20.3 of the Uniform Plumbing Code is amended to read as <br /> 27 follows: <br /> 28 <br /> 29 Violations and Penalties. <br /> 30 20.3.
