• <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 1 "Administrative authority" - The Administrative Authority is the <br /> individual official, board, department, or agency established and <br /> 2 authorized by a state, county, city, or other political subdivision created <br /> by law to administer and enforce the provisions of the plumbing code as <br /> 3 adopted or amended. <br /> 4 <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 5 <br /> 6 "Administrative Authority" - The Administrative Authority is the Building <br /> Official and is the official authorized to administer and enforce the <br /> 7 provisions of this Code. <br /> 8 <br /> Section 32: Section 117(f), Plumbing Systems, of the Uniform Plumbing Code is <br /> 9 <br /> hereby amended by deleting: <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The plumbing system means and includes all potable water supply and <br /> distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage and vent <br /> 12 pipe and all building drains, including their respective joints and <br /> connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the property <br /> 13 lines of the premises and shall include potable water piping, potable water <br /> treating or using equipment, fuel gas piping, water heaters and vents for <br /> 14 same. <br /> 15 <br /> and inserting in its place: <br /> 16 <br /> 17 The plumbing system means and includes all potable water supply and <br /> distribution pipes, all plumbing fixtures and traps, all drainage and vent <br /> 18 pipe and all building drains, including their respective joints and <br /> connections, devices, receptacles and appurtenances within the property <br /> 19 lines of the premises and shall include potable water piping, and potable <br /> water treating or using equipment. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 Section 33: Section 401(a) 2 of the 1979 Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> 22 amended by deleting: <br /> 23 <br /> ABS or PVC installations limited to residential construction, not more <br /> 24 than two stories in height. <br /> 25 and inserting in its place: <br /> 26 <br /> 27 ABS and PVC DWV piping installations shall be limited to those structures <br /> where combustible construction is allowed under the 1979 Edition of the <br /> 28 Uniform Building Code. <br /> 29 Section 34: Section 503(a) 2 of the 1979 Uniform Plumbing Code is hereby <br /> 30 amended by deleting: <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -16- <br />
