1 replacement of kind or as provided for in Section 15, "Work Started <br /> Without a Permit," without first obtaining a separate electrical <br /> 2 permit for each installation, alteration, replacement or extension <br /> from the Building <br /> 3 <br /> (b) Application. To obtain a permit the applicant shall first file an <br /> 4 application therefore in writing on a form furnished for that <br /> purpose. Every such application shall: <br /> 5 <br /> (1) Identify and describe the work to be covered by the permit <br /> 6 for which application is made; <br /> 7 (2) Describe the land on which the proposed work is to be done, <br /> by house and street address; <br /> 8 <br /> (3) Indicate the use or occupancy for which the proposed work is <br /> 9 intended; <br /> 10 (4) Be accompanied by plans and specifications as required in <br /> Subsection (d) of this section. <br /> 11 <br /> (5) State the valuation of the proposed work; <br /> 12 <br /> (6) Be signed by the permittee; <br /> 13 <br /> (7) Give such other information as reasonably may be required <br /> 14 by the Building Official. <br /> 15 (c) To Whom Permits May Be Issued: A permit may be issued to <br /> anyone as permitted by Section 19-28. Revised Code of Washington <br /> 16 Annotated. <br /> 17 (d) Plans and Specifications: With each application for a permit, and <br /> when required by the Building Official for enforcement of any <br /> 18 provisions of this Code, two sets of plans, service diagrams, <br /> specifications, and other information deemed necessary by the <br /> 19 Building Official, shall be submitted. The Building Official may <br /> require plans and specifications to be prepared and designed by an <br /> 20 electrical engineer or electrical contractor licensed by the State to <br /> practice as such. The plans shall be drawn upon substantial paper <br /> 21 or cloth and shall be of sufficient clarity to indicate the nature and <br /> extent of the work proposed and show in detail that it will conform <br /> 22 to the provisions of this ordinance and all other relevant laws, <br /> ordinances, rules and regulations. <br /> 23 <br /> (e) Plan Checking: The application, plans, and specifications filed by <br /> 24 the applicant for a permit shall be checked by the Building Official. <br /> If the Building Official is satisfied that the work described in an <br /> 25 application for a permit and the plans filed therewith conform to <br /> the requirements of this ordinance and other pertinent laws and <br /> 26 ordinances and that the fee specified in Section 15 has been paid, <br /> he may issue a permit therefore to the applicant. <br /> 27 <br /> (f) Validity: The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of <br /> 28 plans and specifications shall not be construed to be a permit for, <br /> or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of the <br /> 29 ordinance. No permit presuming to give authority to violate or <br /> cancel the provisions of this ordinance shall be valid, except insofar <br /> 30 as the work for which it authorizes is lawful. <br /> 31 The issuance of a permit based up-,n. plans and specifications shall <br /> not prevent the Building Official from thereafter requiring the <br /> 32 <br /> -19- <br />
