• <br /> 1 (3) Uniform Fire Code, 1979 Edition, together with Appendices A, B, <br /> C, D, E and F and related standards, 1979 Edition, published by the <br /> 2 International Conference of Building Officials and Western Fire <br /> Chiefs Association. <br /> 3 <br /> (4) Uniform Plumbing Code, 1979 Edition, excluding Chapters 11, 12 & <br /> 4 13 together with Appendices A, B, C, D, E, G and published by the <br /> International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials: <br /> 5 provided, that notwithstanding any wording in this code, nothing in <br /> this code shall apply to the installation of gas piping, water <br /> 6 heaters, or vents for water heaters. <br /> 7 <br /> Section 4: The National Electrical Code, 1978 Edition, published by the <br /> 8 <br /> National Fire Protection Association; The Department of Labor and Industries, Rules <br /> 9 <br /> and Regulations for installing electrical wires and equipment and Administrative Rules, <br /> 10 <br /> March 6, 1978; The Department of Labor and Industries Electrical Installation Law, <br /> 11 <br /> September 4, 1975; The Department of Labor and Industries Rules for Electrical <br /> 12 <br /> Construction, revised September 1965; The Department of Labor and Industries Rules <br /> 13 <br /> and Regulations for mobile homes, commercial coaches and recreational vehicles, <br /> 14 <br /> revised January 1, 1972; and The Department of Labor and Industries Electrical <br /> 15 <br /> Construction Code, December 1, 1964, are hereby adopted by reference. <br /> 16 <br /> Section 5: This ordinance shall be known as the "Everett Building Code." It <br /> 17 <br /> will hereinafter be referred to as "this code." <br /> 18 <br /> Section 6: RCW 19.27.060, Section 4, as it pertains to the City of Everett is <br /> 19 <br /> not adopted by reference and is expressly deleted. <br /> 20 <br /> Section 7: Creation of the Building Department. There is hereby established, <br /> 21 <br /> in the City of Everett, the Building Department, which shall be under the jurisdiction of <br /> 22 <br /> the Building Official, designated by the Mayor. The Building Official shall have the <br /> 23 <br /> powers and duties as herein set forth and as set forth in the Model Codes herein adopted <br /> 24 <br /> by reference. <br /> 25 <br /> Section 8: If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any person or <br /> 26 <br /> circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance, or the application of the <br /> 27 <br /> provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected. <br /> 28 <br /> Section 9: Three copies of this ordinance shall be filed and maintained by the <br /> 29 <br /> City Clerk for use and examination by the public. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -2- <br />
