• <br /> • <br /> 1 "Grounded Conductor Not Insulated. Type SE service-entrance cables <br /> without individual insulation on the grounded circuit conductor shall not <br /> 2 be used as a branch circuit or as a feeder within a building." <br /> 3 "Service-entrance cable shall be permitted for interior use, not over 70 <br /> Amps, where the fully insulated conductors are used for circuit wiring and <br /> 4 the uninsulated conductor is used for equipment grounding purposes." <br /> 5 <br /> Section 40: Section 47 of Ordinance No. 531-78 is hereby amended by deleting <br /> 6 <br /> the following: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Section 47. That Section WAC 296-46-150 of the Department of Labor <br /> and Industries Rules and Regulations for installing electric wires and <br /> 9 equipment and Administrative Rules as herein adopted be and is hereby <br /> amended by adding a new Subsection (4): <br /> 10 <br /> "Regardless of any other provisions in this Chapter, all buildings except <br /> 11 for residential occupancy, shall be wired in only approved metallic <br /> raceways." <br /> 12 <br /> 13 and inserting in its place: <br /> 14 <br /> Section 47. That Section WAC 296-46-150 of the Department of Labor <br /> 15 and Industries Rules and Regulations for installing electric wires and <br /> equipment and Administrative Rules as herein adopted be and is hereby <br /> 16 amended by adding a new Subsection (4): <br /> 17 "Regardless of any other provisions in this Chapter, all buildings except <br /> for residential occupancy, shall be wired in only approved metallic <br /> 18 raceways. Flexible metal conduit shall not be considered an approved <br /> metallic raceway for the purposes of this section." <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Section 41: Section WAC 296-46-180 of the Department of Labor and Industries <br /> 21 Rules and Regulations for installing electric wires and equipment and Administrative <br /> 22 Rules as herein adopted is hereby amended as follows: <br /> 23 a. "Service Equipment Location. Except as otherwise permitted by <br /> 24 the Building Official, all service equipment, including switches, <br /> gutters and subfeed switches, shall be located not more than seven <br /> (7) feet, nor less than three (3) feet from the floor or permanent <br /> 25 working platforms." <br /> 26 b. "Meter Location. Except as otherwise permitted by the serving <br /> 27 utility, meter height shall not be more than seven (7) feet or less <br /> than five (5) feet above finished grade or floor below the meter. <br /> 28 The center of the meter shall be the point of reference." <br /> 29 Section 42: There is hereby added a new sectixl to Article 90 of the National <br /> 30 Electrical Code entitled Violation and Penalties. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -23- <br />
