1 4. Alternate Fees. When a building, plumbing or mechanical permit <br /> is issued separately, the permit fee for each, together with all <br /> 2 fixtures and equipment fees, shall be paid as set forth in this Code. <br /> 3 The determination of value or valuation under any of the provisions <br /> of this Code shall be made by the Building Official. The valuation <br /> 4 to be used in computing the permit and plan check fees shall be the <br /> total value of all construction work for which the permit is issued, <br /> 5 as well as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, <br /> heating, air conditioning, elevators, fire-extinguishing systems and <br /> 6 any other permanent work or permanent equipment. <br /> 7 Where work for which a permit is required by this Code is started <br /> or proceeded with prior to obtaining said permit, the fees specified <br /> 8 in Table No. 3-A shall be doubled, but the payment of such double <br /> fee shall not relieve any persons from fully complying with the <br /> 9 requirements of this Code in the execution of the work nor from <br /> any other penalties prescribed herein. <br /> 10 <br /> 5. Safety Inspection. On request of the owner or his authorized <br /> 11 agent, a safety inspection of any building will be conducted to <br /> determine compliance with the minimum requirements of this <br /> 12 Code. A fee for this inspection shall be charged as follows: <br /> 13 <br /> A. RESIDENTIAL <br /> 14 <br /> Single family residence $ 50.00 <br /> 15 Duplex 75.00 <br /> Tri-plex through six-plex 100.00 <br /> 16 Multi-family (7 to 50 units) 100.00 <br /> + $10 per unit over 6 <br /> 17 Multi-family (over 50 units) 540.00 <br /> + $ 5 per unit over 50 <br /> 18 <br /> B. COMMERCIAL <br /> 19 <br /> First floor $.30 per 100 sq. ft. <br /> 20 ($50 minimum) <br /> Second floor $.20 per 100 sq. ft. <br /> 21 Third through tenth floor $.10 per 100 sq. ft. <br /> Eleventh floor & over $.05 per 100 sq. ft. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Section 14: Section 2905(f) of the Uniform Building Code be, and is hereby <br /> 24 amended by deleting: <br /> 25 <br /> Provisions shall be made for the control of surface water around buildings. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 and inserting in its place: <br /> 28 <br /> 1. Provisions shall be made for the control and drainage of surface <br /> 29 water around buildings by: gutters, drain lines, inlets and catch <br /> basins or other necessary drainage structures and shall be installed <br /> 30 where storm water disposal cannot be obtained without their use or <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -5- <br />
