1 In order to determine the suitability of alternate materials and methods of <br /> construction and to provide for reasonable interpretation of the provisions <br /> 2 of this code, there shall be and is hereby a Board of Appeals, as created by <br /> Ordinance No. 351-75, to pass upon matters pertaining to building <br /> 3 construction. • <br /> 4 <br /> Section 12: Section 205 of the Uniform Building Code, Section 204 of the <br /> 5 <br /> Uniform Mechanical Code and Section 20.3 of the Uniform Plumbing Code and Article 2 <br /> 6 <br /> of the Uniform Fire Code are hereby amended by the addition of the following language: <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Any person, firm, or corporation violating any of the provisions of this <br /> Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and each such person shall <br /> 9 be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or portion <br /> thereof during which any violation of any of the provisions of this Code is <br /> 10 committed, continued, or permitted, and upon conviction of any such <br /> violation such person shall be punishable by a fine of not more than $500 <br /> 11 or by imprisonment for not more than 6 months or by both such fine and <br /> imprisonment. <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Section 13: Section 304(a) of the 1979 Uniform Building Code is hereby <br /> 14 amended by deleting: <br /> 15 <br /> Sec. 304 (a) Permit Fees. The fee for each permit shall be as set <br /> 16 forth in Table No. 3-A. <br /> The determination of value or valuation under any of the provisions <br /> 17 of this code shall be made by the building official. The value to be used in <br /> computing the building permit and building plan review fees shall be the <br /> 18 total value of all construction work for which the permit is issued as well <br /> as all finish work, painting, roofing, electrical, plumbing, heating, air <br /> 19 conditioning, elevators, fire-extinguishing systems and any other <br /> permanent equipment. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 and inserting in its place: <br /> 22 <br /> Sec. 304 (a) Permit & Inspection Fees. A fee for each building <br /> 23 permit or inspection shall be paid to the Building Official as set forth <br /> hereafter and in Table No. 3-A. <br /> 24 <br /> 1. Swimming Pools. $50.00 <br /> 25 <br /> 2. Temporary Structures. The permit fee for temporary structures, <br /> 26 such as trailers, mobile homes, commercial coaches, prefabricated <br /> structures, etc., shall be Fifty Dollars ($50) for one year or fraction <br /> 27 thereof, and Fifty Dollars ($50) for each renewal; except, this fee <br /> shall not apply to any site where a valid building permit is in force. <br /> 28 <br /> 3. Combination Fees. When all permits, including building (as set <br /> 29 forth in Section 303(a) 1.), plumbing, and mechanical are issued on <br /> the same permit, then the plumbing and mechanical permit fee <br /> 30 shall be waived and when the plumbing and mechanical permits are <br /> issued on the same permit, the plumbing or mechanical permit fees <br /> 31 may be waived. However, equipment and fixture fees shall be paid <br /> as set forth in this Code. <br /> 32 <br /> -4- <br />
