In Buffalo, New <br /> York, a new ordinance removes minimum off-street parking citywide. Tacoma does not require off-street parking downtown for <br /> residential and nonresidential uses. Eliminating parking requirements doesn't mean that parking won't get built; it simply means <br /> that development will use the market to determine the demand for parking. <br /> Early public input for Metro Everett indicated that, while Everett is an urban center, Everett is not the same as Seattle or <br /> Portland. Transit service isn't as frequent as Seattle, so people rely more on vehicles.
