Additional revisions or additions may be <br /> required by other departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the <br /> (2012 International Building Code,) (2012 International Residential Code,) as amended by the <br /> State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 2012 Edition, and adopted by the <br /> City of Everett, unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processing of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> provide the Building Division with two new complete sets of drawings reflecting the <br /> corrections requested. <br /> 1. Structures located less than 5 feet from the property line are required to be one-hour <br /> fire-resistive construction with protection from both sides. Provide details for one-hour <br /> fire-resistive assembly. Show location on plans. <br /> 2. Where supported by attachment to an exterior wall, decks shall be positively anchored <br /> to the primary structure and designed for both vertical and lateral loads. Such <br /> attachment shall not be accomplished by the use of toenails or nails subject to <br /> withdrawal. <br /> 3. Provide lateral connection detail per section R507.2 and show where on the deck the <br /> lateral anchors will be installed. <br /> 4.
