i <br /> • <br /> • <br /> 1 ORDINANCE NO. <br /> 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2(A) of Ordinance No. 691-80 to allow <br /> 3 a moratorium exemption to multiple family residential lots in plats <br /> which have preliminary approval and to which there presently exists an <br /> 4 available side sewer connection. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 7 <br /> Section 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 691-80 which reads as follows: <br /> 8 <br /> 9 Section 2: That the moratorium imposed by this ordinance will <br /> not apply to the following categories; provided, however, the Mayor may <br /> 10 suspend any or all of the following catagorical exemptions in the event of <br /> an actual overflow of sewage effluent from Lift Station No. 24 or from a <br /> 11 manhole in the line flowing into said Lift Station: <br /> 12 A. Single family lots and single family lots in plats with <br /> preliminary approval to which there presently exists an available side <br /> 13 sewer connection. <br /> 14 B. Property which can be served by an approved septic tank <br /> system or other sewage treatment system which does not discharge into <br /> 15 the City of Everett sewer system. "Approved system" means any system <br /> approved by the Snohomish Health District. <br /> 16 <br /> C. Additions or remodeling of existing dwelling units or <br /> 17 commercial structures already connected to the City of Everett sewer <br /> system the effect of which will not increase the total number of dwelling <br /> 18 units or the present sewage being discharged into the sanitary sewer <br /> system. <br /> 19 <br /> D. Buildings for which completed applications for building <br /> 20 permit or sewer connection permits were filed with the City of Everett, <br /> Snohomish County or special service districts contracting with the City <br /> 21 prior to the close of business on the date this ordinance becomes valid. <br /> 22 E. Improved property on which a serious health hazard, as <br /> found by the Mayor of Everett or the Director of the Snohomish Health <br /> 23 District, requires connection to the public sewer system. <br /> 24 is hereby amended to read: <br /> 25 <br /> 26 Section 2: That the moratorium imposed by this ordinance will <br /> not apply to the following categories; provided, however, the Mayor may <br /> 27 suspend any or all of the following catagorical exemptions in the event of <br /> an actual overflow of sewage effluent from Lift Station No. 24 or from a <br /> 28 manhole in the line flowing into said Lift Station: <br /> 29 A. Residential lots for single family, duplex, triplex or four <br /> family units in existing plats or plats with preliminary approval as of the <br /> 30 effective date of this ordinance to which there presently exists an <br /> available side sewer connection. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
