i • • 1 ORDINANCE NO. 2 AN ORDINANCE amending Section 2(A) of Ordinance No. 691-80 to allow 3 a moratorium exemption to multiple family residential lots in plats which have preliminary approval and to which there presently exists an 4 available side sewer connection. 5 6 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 7 Section 1: Section 2 of Ordinance No. 691-80 which reads as follows: 8 9 Section 2: That the moratorium imposed by this ordinance will not apply to the following categories; provided, however, the Mayor may 10 suspend any or all of the following catagorical exemptions in the event of an actual overflow of sewage effluent from Lift Station No. 24 or from a 11 manhole in the line flowing into said Lift Station: 12 A. Single family lots and single family lots in plats with preliminary approval to which there presently exists an available side 13 sewer connection. 14 B. Property which can be served by an approved septic tank system or other sewage treatment system which does not discharge into 15 the City of Everett sewer system. "Approved system" means any system approved by the Snohomish Health District. 16 C. Additions or remodeling of existing dwelling units or 17 commercial structures already connected to the City of Everett sewer system the effect of which will not increase the total number of dwelling 18 units or the present sewage being discharged into the sanitary sewer system. 19 D. Buildings for which completed applications for building 20 permit or sewer connection permits were filed with the City of Everett, Snohomish County or special service districts contracting with the City 21 prior to the close of business on the date this ordinance becomes valid. 22 E. Improved property on which a serious health hazard, as found by the Mayor of Everett or the Director of the Snohomish Health 23 District, requires connection to the public sewer system. 24 is hereby amended to read: 25 26 Section 2: That the moratorium imposed by this ordinance will not apply to the following categories; provided, however, the Mayor may 27 suspend any or all of the following catagorical exemptions in the event of an actual overflow of sewage effluent from Lift Station No. 24 or from a 28 manhole in the line flowing into said Lift Station: 29 A. Residential lots for single family, duplex, triplex or four family units in existing plats or plats with preliminary approval as of the 30 effective date of this ordinance to which there presently exists an available side sewer connection. 31 32
