• <br /> • NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE EVERETT CITY COUNCIL <br /> THAT: <br /> Section 1: A construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. 343 entitled <br /> "Sanitary Sewer Lift Stations 24, 25, and 26 Improvement and Construction Fund" <br /> to accomplish the actions authorized in subsequent sections of this ordinance. <br /> Section 2: Authorization is hereby granted to the Public Works Director <br /> to upgrade the City's Sewer Lift Stations 24, 25, and 26 and to provide for <br /> planning, design, construction, and contract administration necessary to <br /> accomplish this task. <br /> The City is authorized to acquire all materials, equipment, personal and <br /> real property interest therein, easements, franchises, and rights-of-way necessary <br /> to carry out the above-described plans. <br /> The above-described sewer facilities shall be connected one to the other <br /> and to the existing sanitary sewer system of the City wherever necessary <br /> within available funding in order to make a complete operating utility. <br /> Said plans of improvements are all as more specifically set forth in preliminary <br /> maps and plans therefore now on file with the City, and such plans shall <br /> be subject to such additions or changes as to details, including pipe size <br /> or other changes not affecting the main general plan, as may be authorized <br /> from time to time by the Public Works Director, either prior to or during <br /> the actual course of construction. <br /> The order of construction of the above improvements shall be as determined <br /> by the Public Works Director of the City of Everett. <br /> Section 3: The total estimated cost of the improvements herein authorized <br /> is $450,000 which will include all related costs for design, construction, <br /> contract administration, plan development and associated costs. <br /> Section 4: The Public Works Director of the City of Everett under administration <br /> of the Mayor is hereby given the responsibility of conducting all tasks <br /> outlined under Section 2 above. <br /> Section 5: The City Treasurer of the City of Everett is hereby authorized <br /> to negotiate a reasonable rate of interest and issue interest bearing warrants <br /> to satisfy interim construction costs not to exceed $450,000. These interest <br /> bearing warrants shall be redeemed by the Treasurer as soon as reimbursement <br /> or long term bond financing monies, as described elsewhere in this Ordinance, <br /> are received. <br /> Section 6: A. The sum $450,000 is hereby appropriated to Fund No.-3-385 <br /> "Sanitary SewerLift Stations 24, 25, and 26 Improvement and <br /> Construction Fund" as follows: <br /> 1. Program 781 Lift Station No. 24 Improvements $250,000 <br /> 2. Program 782 Lift Stations No. 25 and 26 <br /> Improvements $200,000 <br /> TOTAL $450,000 <br /> Actual funds expended on each of the projects listed above <br /> may vary from the amounts indicated which are projected <br /> construction costs for future construction dates. Funds <br /> will be adjusted within the $450,000 total amount. <br /> -2- <br />
