Any employee whose base salary under a previous schedule is greater than <br /> the base salary provided in the schedule contained in this ordinance shall <br /> continue to receive the previous base pay; provided, however, than an <br /> 12 employee working in a classification designated to be in a salary range <br /> prefaced by range letter "E"_shall continue to receive the previous base <br /> 13 salary if the Mayor has not set a new salary range within the limits of the <br /> appropriate new "E" classification range as provided in this ordinance. <br /> 14 <br /> B. Ranges for AFSCME, Local 113, Everett Firefighters, Local 350, Everett• <br /> 15 Police Officers Association, Amalgamated Transit Union, Local 883, and <br /> the Snohomish County Building and Construction Trades Council are <br /> 16 stipulated in their collective bargaining agreements. <br /> 17 C. Ranges prefaced by "P" are established by the City Council in accordance <br /> with the City Charter of Everett. <br /> 18 <br /> D. Range numbers prefaced by "E" are considered to be the minimum and <br /> 19 maximum salary ranges within which the Mayor may set the salary to be <br /> paid to appointed employees. <br /> 20 <br /> Section 4: <br /> 21 <br /> A. Seasonal day laborers employed by the City in the Recreation Division of <br /> 22 the Parks and Recreation Department will be rated by their qualifications, <br /> experience and background, and type and nature of duties to be performed <br /> 23 and compensated at a minimum of no less than the current federal <br /> minimum wage and a maximum of no more than $5.00 per hour. These <br /> 24 employees are exempt from minimum wage, equal pay and overtime pay if <br /> they are employed less than seven months in any calendar year pursuant to <br /> 25 Section 13 (a), (b), of the Fair Labor Standards Act as amended April 8, <br /> 1974. <br /> 26 <br /> B. Day laborers employed by the City in all other City departments will be <br /> 27 rated by their qualifications, experience and background, and compensated <br /> at a minimum of no less than the current federal minimum wage and a <br /> 28 maximum of no more than $5.00 per hour except when Article VIII, Section <br /> 4 of the AFSCME Local 113 agreement applies. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
