• a <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> • <br /> w • <br /> 1 qualified under the laws of the City of Everett while acting in their official capacity. <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Section 11: COMPLIANCE. <br /> 4 The effective date of this ordinance shall be January 1, 1980. <br /> 5 <br /> 6 Section 12: SAVINGS. <br /> 7 If any section of this ordinance shall be held to be invalid, it is the intention that <br /> 8 the remaining sections shall not be effected and shall remain in full force and effect. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 Section 13: GENERAL DUTY. <br /> 11 Nothing in this ordinance is intended to create a cause of action or claim against <br /> 12 the City or its officials or employees running to specific individuals. Any duty created <br /> 13 herein is intended to be a general duty running in favor of the public citizenry. <br /> 14 <br /> 15 Section 14: REPEALER. <br /> 16 Chapter 22 of Ordinance No. 295-74 and all other ordinances in conflict herewith <br /> 17 are hereby repealed. <br /> 18 <br /> 19 Section 15: APPLICATION TO EXISTING LICENSES. <br /> 20 All merchant patrolmen (security guards), private detectives, merchant patrol <br /> 21 agencies (businesses) or private detective agencies (businesses) which have made <br /> 22 application for a license prior to the effective date of this ordinance or who have <br /> 23 actually received their license pursuant to Chapter 22 of Ordinance No. 295-74, shall be <br /> 24 required to pay those fees which are set forth in Section 6 (B) of this ordinance. All <br /> 25 others shall pay those fees set forth in Section 6 (A) of this ordinance. In any case, all <br /> 26 applicants shall comply with all bonding, insurance and other requirements which are set <br /> 27 forth in this ordinance. <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 -8- <br />
