(,L26 ;71.7- <br /> AN <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 3, 5 and 7 of Ordinance <br /> No. 540-78, creating a special construction fund en- <br /> titled "1978 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvements Fund <br /> No. 329," increasing the appropriation for this construction <br /> to $486,497. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That Sections 3, 5 and 7 of Ordinance No. 540-78 which read <br /> as follows: <br /> Section 3: Authorization is hereby given to purchase, through <br /> contract with the Everett School District, a covered play area (5000 <br /> square feet) for the Garfield School. <br /> Section 5: The total estimated cost of the improvements herein <br /> authorized is $350,666 which will include all cost related to design, <br /> construction, contract administration, plan development, and associated <br /> costs. <br /> Section 7: <br /> A. The sum of $350,666 is hereby appropriated to Fund No. 329, "Block <br /> Grant Neighborhood Improvements" as follows: <br /> 1. Program 717, Riverside Neighborhood Street & <br /> Sidewalk Improvements $142,966.00 <br /> 2. Program 718, Riverside Neighborhood Improve- <br /> ments, as follows: 17,700.00 <br /> a. Garfield School covered play area ($14,000) <br /> b. Independent audit of property tax <br /> assessments ($ 3,000) <br /> c. Tools and gas, Rent-A-Kid Program ($ 500) <br /> d. Neighborhood Recycling Program ($ 200) <br /> 3. Program 719, Port Gardner Neighborhood Traffic 6,000.00 <br /> Controls & Signing Improvements <br /> 4. Program 720, Port Gardner Street and Sidewalk 164,000.00 <br /> Improvements <br /> 5. Program 721, Northeast Everett Neighborhood 20,000.00 <br /> Street and Sidewalk Improvements and shed <br /> removal <br /> B. The source of funds for the appropriations to all five programs (Nos. <br /> 717, 718, 719, 720 and 721) shall be: <br /> Fund 198 Community Development Block Grant Funds $350,666.00 <br /> C. This appropriation shall not lapse but shall be carried forward from <br /> year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished <br /> or abandoned without the necessity of reappropriation as per R.C.W.35.33.151. <br />
