(,L26 ;71.7- AN AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 3, 5 and 7 of Ordinance No. 540-78, creating a special construction fund en- titled "1978 Block Grant Neighborhood Improvements Fund No. 329," increasing the appropriation for this construction to $486,497. NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: Section 1: That Sections 3, 5 and 7 of Ordinance No. 540-78 which read as follows: Section 3: Authorization is hereby given to purchase, through contract with the Everett School District, a covered play area (5000 square feet) for the Garfield School. Section 5: The total estimated cost of the improvements herein authorized is $350,666 which will include all cost related to design, construction, contract administration, plan development, and associated costs. Section 7: A. The sum of $350,666 is hereby appropriated to Fund No. 329, "Block Grant Neighborhood Improvements" as follows: 1. Program 717, Riverside Neighborhood Street & Sidewalk Improvements $142,966.00 2. Program 718, Riverside Neighborhood Improve- ments, as follows: 17,700.00 a. Garfield School covered play area ($14,000) b. Independent audit of property tax assessments ($ 3,000) c. Tools and gas, Rent-A-Kid Program ($ 500) d. Neighborhood Recycling Program ($ 200) 3. Program 719, Port Gardner Neighborhood Traffic 6,000.00 Controls & Signing Improvements 4. Program 720, Port Gardner Street and Sidewalk 164,000.00 Improvements 5. Program 721, Northeast Everett Neighborhood 20,000.00 Street and Sidewalk Improvements and shed removal B. The source of funds for the appropriations to all five programs (Nos. 717, 718, 719, 720 and 721) shall be: Fund 198 Community Development Block Grant Funds $350,666.00 C. This appropriation shall not lapse but shall be carried forward from year to year until fully expended or the purpose has been accomplished or abandoned without the necessity of reappropriation as per R.C.W.35.33.151.
