August 29, 2018 <br /> Donna Perrigo, Everett, expressed her appreciation that issues relating to <br /> Ideal Option had been resolved. <br /> Art Skotdal, Everett, spoke about security concerns expressed by <br /> downtown tenants and expressed a preference for spreading out social <br /> services and low-income housing across the city. <br /> Nicholas Bratton, representing Forterra and Everett Station District Alliance, <br /> expressed support for the Metro Plan and encouraged adoption of the plan <br /> by the Council. <br /> Jean Satti-Hewat, Everett, spoke about the Norton-Grand and historic <br /> overlays and asked that the guidelines be adopted as ordinances. <br /> Jim Dean, Everett, spoke about the Norton-Grand historical overlay area. <br /> He also expressed support for clinics and social services in downtown <br /> Everett. <br /> Victor Harris, Everett, spoke about the continued need for ample off-street <br /> parking. <br /> Moved by Council Member Bader, seconded by Council Member <br /> McNeal, to close the public hearing. <br /> Roll was called with all council members voting yes, except Council Member <br /> Tuohy who was excused. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Discussion took place regarding the process for review of the amendments <br /> and the need for a format that provides clarity for the public. <br /> City Attorney Iles recommended that David Stalheim lead a discussion <br /> relating to amendments contained in the August 23, 2018, memo to the <br /> Mayor and City Council, followed by action on the amendments and finally <br /> action to adopt each ordinance as amended. <br /> 275 <br />
