• , <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 457.;;c 5- 71 <br /> AN ORDINANCE annexing certain property to the City <br /> of Everett. <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to R.C.W. 35.13.130, a petition was presented to the <br /> City Council of the City of Everett proposing the annexation of certain <br /> property; and <br /> WHEREAS, the petition which was filed purusant to R.C.W. 35.13.130 was <br /> signed by owners of not less than seventy-five percent in value according <br /> to the assessed valuation for general taxes of the property proposed to <br /> be annexed; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett, a municipal corporation, <br /> did fix the 30th day of August, 1978, for hearing upon said petition, and <br /> cause notice of hearing to be published in one issue of the Everett Daily <br /> Herald, a newspaper of general circulation in the City, and caused said <br /> notice also to be posted in three places within the territory proposed for <br /> annexation, which notice as published and as posted specified the time <br /> and place of hearing and invited interested persons to appear and voice <br /> approval or disapproval of the annexation; and <br /> WHEREAS, following the hearing, the Council of the City of Everett, a <br /> municipal corporation, have determined to annex all of the property <br /> described in the petition as hereinafter set forth; <br /> WHEREAS, the land area specified in said petition is less than ten (10) <br /> acres and the total assessed value of all of such property is less than <br /> $250,000; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Snohomish County Boundary Review Board did, at their <br /> October 10, 1978, meeting, waive jurisdiction in this matter; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> Section 1: That the property hereinafter described be, and the same <br /> is hereby annexed to the City of Everett: <br /> That portion of the Northwest One-Quarter (NW1/4) of the Northwest <br /> One-Quarter (NW1/4) of the Southwest One-Quarter (SW1/4) of Section <br /> 17, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, W.M, more particularly described <br /> as follows: <br /> Beginning at the Southwest corner of the Northwest Quarter of <br /> the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of said Section <br /> 17, Township 28 North, Range 5 East, W.M; thence S 88°00'45" E <br /> along the South line of said Northwest Quarter of Northwest <br /> Quarter of Southwest Quarter a distance of 30.02 feet to the <br /> Easterly margin of 19th Avenue S.E, and the true point of beginning; <br /> thence North along said Easterly margin of City road 21.88 feet to <br />
