1 R.C.W. 82. 14 or this Ordinance. <br /> 2 Section 4. That, upon the effective date of this Ordinance, the <br /> 3 existing household and employee tax and Section 2 of Ordinance No. 45-69 of <br /> 4 the City of Everett relating to the imposition thereof shall be and hereby is <br /> 5 repealed. <br /> 6 Section 5. That the Everett City Council hereby reserves authority <br /> 7 to adjust the above established sales and use tax rate, but not so as to <br /> 8 exceed a maximum rate of .3% without further approval by the voters of the <br /> 9 City of Everett. <br /> 10 Section 6. That the provisions of this Ordinance and the tax imposed <br /> 11 hereby shall become effective on January 1 , 1979. <br /> 12 Section 7. If any provisions of this Ordinance or its application <br /> 13 to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of this Ordinance, <br /> 14 or application of the provision to other persons or circumstances, shall be <br /> 15 unaffected. <br /> 16 Section 8.
