ORDINANCE NO. 5 <br /> AN ORDINANCE creating a special fund entitled: EVERGREEN WAY SIGNALIZATION, <br /> ET, AL. and appropriating $75,330 for this project. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett is aware of the <br /> heavy traffic volumes and the unnecessary traffic delay, congestion and accident <br /> experience which is presently being experienced at the following intersections: <br /> 1) 47th/Evergreen Way <br /> 2) 50th/Evergreen Way <br /> 3) 52nd/Evergreen Way <br /> 4) 41st/Colby <br /> 5) 41st/Rucker <br /> 6) 37th/Colby <br /> 7) 35th/Rucker <br /> 8) Madison/Evergreen Way <br /> 9) 79th/Evergreen Way <br /> 10) Casino/S.R. 526/Evergreen Way <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council is also aware of the potential growth of <br /> traffic volumes at these intersections which will result in additional <br /> hazards, delays, and inconvenience to motorists, and <br /> WHEREAS, the Evergreen Way Signalization, et. al. is on the Six Year <br /> Construction Program adopted by the City Council by Resolution No. <br /> 1497 on July 26, 1978, and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has submitted to the State of Washington Department <br /> of Transportation several project prospectus for funding the design <br /> and construction for the signals locations described herein as Evergreen <br /> Way Signalization, et. al, and <br /> WHEREAS, ON July 21, 1976; September 1977, and June 27, 1978, the State <br /> of Washington Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Administratiā¢n <br /> did authorize the City of Everett to proceed with preliminary Engineering <br /> for the signal locations herein described as the Evergreen Way Signalization, <br /> et. al. in the total amount of $75,330. f <br />
