• <br /> 1 sums were paid and the purposes for which such payments were made, and <br /> in this statement all sums or other considerations promised and not paid <br /> 2 shall be included. In said statement he shall also set forth a correct and <br /> itemized account of the total amount of any and all contributions of <br /> 3 money or things of value amounting to $100.00 or more received by him or <br /> by any person or organization for him, with his knowledge and <br /> 4 acquiescence, from any one source, in aid or support of his candidacy for <br /> nomination or election, together with the name and address of the person, <br /> 5 partnership, committee, association, corporation, or any other <br /> organization or group of persons who has made such contributions. Such <br /> 6 statement when so filed shall immediately be subject to the inspection and <br /> examination of any elector, and shall be a public record. <br /> 7 <br /> Proof of violation thereof shall disqualify such candidate or <br /> 8 nominee from holding such office. <br /> 9 is recommended to be changed to: <br /> 10 Every candidate for an elective office of the city of Everett shall <br /> comply with all provisions of the Revised Code of Washington concerning <br /> 11 reporting of campaign financing and financial affairs including but not <br /> limited to RCW 42.17 (Initiative Measure No. 276) and amendments or <br /> 12 additions thereto. A copy of any such disclosure documents shall be filed <br /> with the city clerk. <br /> 13 <br /> 14 <br /> PROPOSITION <br /> 15 <br /> Everett City Charter Section 9.3 <br /> 16 <br /> Shall Section 9.3 of the City Charter be changed to delete local disclosure <br /> 17 <br /> requirements for elective candidates inconsistent with state law and specifically require <br /> 18 <br /> candidates comply with state law and file copies of such disclosure documents with the <br /> 19 <br /> City Clerk? <br /> 20 <br /> CHARTER CHANGE YES <br /> 21 CHARTER CHANGE NO J" <br /> 22 <br /> 23 Section 10: Change to Section 11.9. Section 11.9 of the City Charter which <br /> 24 reads as follows: <br /> 25 No ordinance which has been passed by the council upon a petition <br /> or adopted by popular vote, under the provisions of this article, shall be <br /> 26 repealed or amended except by popular vote. <br /> 27 is recommended to be changed to: <br /> 28 <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Page -7- <br />
