• <br /> • <br /> 1 and repose of property owners or possessors, except that such sounds made <br /> 2 in animal shelters, or commercial kennels, veterinary hospitals, pet shops <br /> 3 , or pet kennels licensed under and in compliance with EMC Chapter 6.04 <br /> 4 shall be exempt from this subsection; provided, that notwithstanding any <br /> 5 other provision of this ordinance, if the owner or other person having <br /> 6 custody of the animal cannot, with reasonable inquiry, be located by the <br /> 7 investigating officer or if the animal is a repeated violator of this <br /> 8 subsection, the animal shall be impounded by the poundmaster, subject to <br /> 9 redemption in the manner provided by EMC 6.04.070. <br /> 10 2. The frequent, repetitive, or continuous sounding of any horn <br /> 11 or siren attached to a motor vehicle, except as a warning of danger or as <br /> 12 specifically permitted or required by law. <br /> 13 3. The creation of frequent, repetitive, or continuous noise in <br /> 14 connection with the starting, operation, repair, rebuilding, or testing of <br /> 15 any motor vehicle, motorcycle, off-highway vehicle, or internal <br /> 16 combustion engine within District I so as to unreasonably disturb or <br /> 17 interfere with the peace, comfort and repose of owners or possessors of <br /> 18 r real property. <br /> 19 4. The use of a sound amplifier or other device capable of <br /> 20 producing or reproducing amplified sound upon public streets for the <br /> 21 purpose of commercial advertising or sales or for attracting the attention <br /> 22 of the public to any vehicle, structure, or property or the contents <br /> 23 therein, except as permitted by law, and except that vendors whose sole <br /> 24 method of selling is from a moving vehicle shall be exempt from this <br /> 25 subsection. <br /> 26 5. The making of any loud and raucous noise which <br /> 27 unreasonably interferes with the use of any school, church, hospital, <br /> 28 sanitarium, nursing or convalescent facility. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 Page -7- <br />
