T .6 , <br /> 4 <br /> ORDINANCE NO. /- 75 <br /> AN ORDINANCE establishing the City of Everett Building CoCe: <br /> authorizing the promulgation of rules and regulations; providing for the <br /> 1 issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; providing for <br /> penalties for violation thereof, providing for the adoption of the State <br /> 2 Building Code Act; providing for the adoption of Model Codes and <br /> repealing ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict therewith. <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, a State Building Code Act was developed in response to a need for <br /> 4 <br /> setting standards and to provide uniformity; and <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS, Washington State Law provides that cities may amend the State <br /> 6 <br /> Building Code as it applies within its jurisdictions; and <br /> 7 <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett desires to implement the Stat- <br /> 8 <br /> Building Code Act as specifically set forth herein; and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Everett desires to repeal existing Everett <br /> 10 <br /> Building Ordinances as specifically set forth herein; <br /> 11 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Everett does ordain: <br /> 12 <br /> Section 1. That Title 16 of the Everett Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br /> 13 3' <br /> repealing ordinances No. 3560, 3880, 305-74, 310-74, 348-75, 349-7f, 457-77 and all <br /> 14 <br /> ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith. <br /> 15 <br /> Section 2. The "State Building Act", Chapter 19.27 RCW is hereby adopted by <br /> 16 <br /> reference. <br /> 17 <br /> Section 3. RCW 19.27.030, Sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 (as they pertain to the City <br /> 18 <br /> of Everett) are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 19 <br /> (1) Uniform Building Code, 1976 Edition, together with appendix <br /> 20 chapters 13, 23, 35, 38, 48, 49, and 57, together with Related <br /> Standards, 1976 Edition, published by the International Conference <br /> 21 of Building Officials; <br /> 22 (2) Uniform Mechanical Code, 1976 Edition, including appendices A, B, <br /> and C, published by the International Association of Plumbing and <br /> 23 Mechanical Officials and the International Conference of Building <br /> Officials; <br /> 24 <br /> (3) The Uniform Fire Code, 1976 Edition, together with appendices A, <br /> 25 B, C, D, and E, published by the International Conference of <br /> Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association; <br /> 26 <br /> (4) The Unif)rm Plumbing Code, 1976 Edition, together with <br /> 27 appendices A, B, C, D, E, G. and H, published by the International <br /> Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials: Provided, that <br /> 28 Chapter 11 of such code is not adopted: Provided, that <br /> notwithstanding any wording in this code, nothing in this code shall <br /> 29 apply to the installation of any gas piping, water heaters, or vents <br /> for water heaters. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
