1 and inserting in its place: <br /> 2 Section 20.2 - Duties and Powers of the Administrative Authority <br /> 3 (a) The Building Official, with the approval of the chief appointing <br /> authority, may appoint such assistants, deputies, inspectors or <br /> 4 other employees as are authorized to carry out the functions <br /> of the department and this Code. <br /> 5 <br /> Right of Entry <br /> 6 <br /> (b) Whenever necessary to make an inspection to enforce any <br /> 7 provision of this ordinance, the Building Official or his <br /> authorized representative may enter any building or premises <br /> 8 as prescribed in Ordinance 315.74. <br /> 9 Section 34. That Section 20.3, Part I, Administration, of the Uniform <br /> 10 Plumbing Code be, and is hereby amended by deleting: <br /> 11 "Violations and Penalties" - Any person, firm or corporation violating any <br /> provision of this Code shall be deemed guilty of a misdemenaor and upon <br /> 12 conviction thereof shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed $300 or by <br /> imprisonment in the County Jail for not to exceed 90 days, or both fine <br /> 13 and imprisonment. Each separate day or any portion thereof during which <br /> any violation of this Code occurs or continues shall be deemed to <br /> 14 constitute a separate offense, and upon conviction there of shall be <br /> punishable as herein provided. The issuance or granting of a permit or <br /> 15 approval of plans and specifications shall not be deemed or construed to <br /> be a permit for, or an approval of, any violation of any of the provisions of <br /> 16 this Code. No permit presuming to give authority to violate or cancel the <br /> provisions of this Code shall be valid, except insofar as the work or use <br /> 17 which it authorized is lawful. <br /> 18 The issuance or granting of a permit or approval of plans shall not prevent <br /> the Administrative Authority from thereafter requiring the correction of <br /> 19 errors in said plans and specifications or from preventing construction <br /> operations being carried on thereunder when in violation of this Code or of <br /> 20 any other ordinance or from revoking any certificate of approval when <br /> issued in error. <br /> 21 <br /> Every permit issued by the Administrative Authority under the provisions <br /> 22 of this Code shall expire by limitation and become null and void, if the <br /> work authorized by such permit is not commenced within one-hundred <br /> 23 twenty (120) days from date of issuance of such permit, or if the work <br /> authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the <br /> 24 work is commenced for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days.
