That Section 338-3(b) of the National Electrical Code, as herein 2 adopted be and is hereby amended to read as follows: 3 "Grounded Conductor Not Insulated. Type SE service-entrance cables without individual insulation on the grounded circuit conductor shall not 4 be used as a branch circuit or as a feeder within a building." 5 "Service-entrance cable shall be permitted for interior use, not over 70 Amps, where the fully insulated conductors are used for circuit wiring and 6 the uninsulated conductor is used for equipment grounding purposes." 7 Section 47. That Section WAC 296-46-150 of the Department of Labor and 8 Industries Rules and Regulations for installing electric wires and equipment and 9 Administrative Rules as herein adopted be and is hereby amended by adding a new 10 Subsection (4): 11 "Regardless of any other provisions in this Chapter, all buildings except for residential occupancy, shall be wired in only approved metallic 12 raceways." 13 Section 48. That Section WAC 296-46-180 of the Department of Labor and 14 Industries Rules and Regulations for installing electric wires and equipment and 15 Administrative Rules as herein adopted be and is hereby amended as follows: 16 a. "Service Equipment Location. Except as otherwise permitted by the Building Official, all service equipment, including switches, 17 gutters and subfeed switches, shall be located not more than seven (7) feet, nor less than three (3) feet from the floor or permanent 18 working platforms." 19 b. "Meter Location. Except as otherwise permitted by the serving utility, meter height shall not be more than seven (7) feet or less 20 than five (5) feet above finished grade or floor below the meter. The center of the meter shall be the point of reference." 21 Section 49.
