. . • ORDINANCE NO. /f 7ff AN ORDINANCE providing for permits for circuses, carnivals, amusement centers and go-cart centers and providing regulations over the same. 1 2 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 3 Section 1: Permit Required 4 No person shall operate or exhibit or cause to be operated or exhibited or aid or 5 assist in the operation or exhibition of any circus, carnival, amusement center or go- 6 cart center which solicits, invites or permits guests or patrons to ride in or upon any 7 mechanical amusement device in the City limits of the City of Everett unless a permit, 8 therefore, has been issued as hereinafter provided. 9 Section 2: Application 10 Application for a permit to operate or exhibit such circus, carnival, amusement • 11 center or go-cart center shall be filed ten (10) days prior to the opening date with the 12 City Clerk on forms provided by that official. Notification shall also be made to the 13 Police Department at least ten (10) days prior to the opening date. Said applications 14 shall set forth the dates between which said circus, carnival, amusement center or go- 15 cart center is to operate and the location at which it will operate. At the time of filing 16 the application, the applicant shall furnish the City Clerk with a list of all permanent 17 employees working in the City of Everett on forms provided by the City Clerk. Such 18 lists shall include the full name of each such employee, date of birth, place of birth, 19 physical description, driver's license number and social security number. The applicant 20 shall furnish on demand a similar list of temporary employees who are hired in Everett 21 after the application is filed. 22 Section 3: Permit to Operate 23 Upon receipt of an application to operate or exhibit such circus, carnival, 24 amusement center or go-cart center, the City Clerk may issue a permit for the entire 25 term, thereof, upon determination that such use will not be in violation of any zoning 26 ordinance of the City of Everett, that the location and type of equipment are approved 27 by the appropriate agencies of the State of Washington, if any, that a current 28 certificate of inspection has been issued by the State of Washington for each 29 amusement ride to be operated within the circus, carnival, amusement center or go-cart 30 center, if such certificate of inspection is available through the State of Washington, 31 and that the applicant has the insurance in force as required by this ordinance. 32
