por, <br /> As41 ' <br /> SNOHOMISH COUNTY COUNCIL EVERETT CITY COUNCIL <br /> Snohomish County, Washington City of Everett, Washington <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13-013 RESOLUTION NO. 6636 <br /> JOINT RESOLUTION SUPPORTING DESIGNATION OF PAINE FIELD 777x <br /> FACILITIES AS A PROJECT OF STATEWIDE SIGNIFICANCE <br /> WHEREAS, the Boeing Company has been present in Everett since 1943 and <br /> built twin aisle aircraft at the Snohomish County Airport, Paine Field, the Airport of <br /> Choice, since 1966 starting with the iconic 747; and <br /> WHEREAS, Boeing's Everett plant is home to the 747, 767, 777, and 787 <br /> programs; and <br /> WHEREAS, Boeing's family of 777 air planes is one of its best selling models <br /> and is designed and built at Paine Field Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, the first 777 was placed in revenue service in 1995 by United <br /> Airlines; and <br /> WHEREAS, Boeing intends to design and build the next generation of the 777; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Washington State Governor Jay Inslee asked Everett Mayor Ray <br /> Stephanson to chair a task force of local and state agencies to plan and expedite <br /> permitting for new facilities to support the next generation 777 program at Everett/Paine <br /> Field; and <br /> WHEREAS, the next generation 777 will have high technology carbon fiber wings <br /> that will require new facilities; and <br /> WHEREAS, both Snohomish County and the City of Everett strongly desire to <br /> facilitate and expedite the design and construction of new facilities to support the next <br /> generation 777 program; and <br /> WHEREAS, this project is significant to the City of Everett, Snohomish County, <br /> Puget Sound and the entire State of Washington; and <br /> WHEREAS, the task force has been meeting regularly and expects to issue its <br /> report by the end of July, 2013; and <br />
