Purchase of materials for covered play-area at <br /> Garfield School Mini-Park; <br /> Purchase/installation of spiral slide and six spring <br /> mounted animals at Garfield School Mini-Park; <br /> c. Garfield Park drainage, grading, surfacing and <br /> irrigation; <br /> Garfield Park playground equipment, and resurface <br /> tennis courts; and <br /> d. Development of a Master Plan for Garfield and Riverdale <br /> Parks with parking/traffic control, pedestrian safety <br /> and private property protection surrounding Garfield <br /> Park. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED THAT: <br /> SECTION 1: <br /> A special construction fund is hereby established as Fund No. <br /> 317 entitled "Garfield Neighborhood Improvements" to accomplish <br /> the actions authorized in subsequent sections of this Ordinance. <br /> SECTION 2: <br /> Authorization is hereby given to provide for the design, <br /> construction and associated activities required to <br /> a. Install new sidewalks on: <br /> 1. The south side of 19th Street between Summit and <br /> Walnut; <br /> 2. The south side of 22nd Street between Baker and Pine; <br /> 3. One side of 22nd Street between Walnut and State. <br /> b. Provide for general street improvements including widening, <br /> paving, curbs and gutters on: <br /> 1. 22nd Street between Pine and Cedar; <br /> 2. 22nd Street between Walnut and State <br /> c. Provide for general sidewalk repair to existing sidewalks <br /> in the Central Garfield Area (Freeway to and including <br /> Pine Street) and the East Garfield Area (Freeway to <br /> East Grand) . <br /> d. Provide for improvements to the Garfield Neighborhood <br /> Park including grading, drainage, surfacing, irrigation, <br /> adjustment to existing playground equipment, installation <br /> of new playground equipment and resurfacing of the <br /> tennis courts. <br /> SECTION 3: <br /> Authorization is hereby given to purchase, through contract <br /> • <br /> with the Everett School District: <br /> a. Materials for a covered play area to be constructed at <br /> the Garfield School Mini-Park. <br /> b. Playground equipment to include a spiral slide and six <br /> spring mounted animals for installation at the Garfield <br /> School Mini-Park. <br /> -2- <br />
