r , r •
Flov oontsol structur• (rostrictor rhypase etructurl:
The overflow stndpipe for control. structure 2 should be
modified to prevent oil, which teuds to accumulate in these
structures, from escaping with overflows. A bafflr_, made of
a larger diameter pipe welded to the overflow standpipe, can
be added to the structure. The space between the baffle and
the overflow standpipe needs to be large enough to not cause
restriction of flows. The baffle should be stiffened by
welding a"rib" from the standpipe to the baffle, and should
extend a minimun of 2 inches above and 4 inches below the
overflow elevation.
oil/vator aeparator:
G 0' City standards call for the separator to be located upstream
'C" of the swale. In this case, the best location for the
oil/water separator appears to be in the pipe batween
cuntrol structure #1 and the swale.
A detail of the vault shou].d be included on the plans
clearly showing the inlet zind outlet elevations of the
V" separator, the elevation of: the bottom of the separator, and
the position and height of interior baffle,.
v The separator should be equipped with a sampling tee at its
outlet.
The oil/water separator maintenance notes from section
/ 4.11.1 of the City of Everett Design and Constriiction
Stan3ards and 5pecifications need to be itcluded on the
drainage plans.
Miscellanaous:
The City has recently identified a general probl.em with
restaurant dumpsters. This area needs to be covered ana
isolated hydrologically through the use of berms. Drainage
from the area needs to be routed to the sanitary sewer
through an oil/water separator or grease trap. it may be
feasible to route drainage through the exterior grease trap
already shown on the plans.
v Additional comments are written directly on the plans.
fiS i FTlY+ i S S} 7 i 55 P_ .{' --lk G r CV ( 11 i l(M
liS n« a C(+ -i lyc- 7noeC '-i[ 5t'Sri lCi 'uC d"n_f.('
c! C l n I-t Jrolp•-i d 1^.LLCS 'o .0 S. •'' 1'" C C ; n tivf srr. J-f
, -.,, n, ,. , .
