He also provided a report on his attendance at the Baker <br /> Heights Neighborhood meeting last Monday. <br /> President Roberts stated he met with Planning Department staff and Bob <br /> Bolerjack, Administration, on October 3 to discuss the status of the draft <br /> climate action plan, and how to bring the report forward for public input when <br /> complete. He stated that the report will go to full Council, and he <br /> recommended the report go to the Planning Commission for a public input <br /> process. <br /> Council Member Moore suggested the report be presented first to the <br /> General Government Subcommittee for discussion about the specific <br /> issues, such as land use, that are pertinent to the role of the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> Council Member Bader requested that if there are transportation matters, <br /> the report be forwarded to the Transportation Advisory Committee for <br /> review. <br /> President Roberts stated he had received questions from the public about <br /> the role of Council relating to local and statewide initiatives. He referenced <br /> a September 25 memo sent to Council by Ramsey Ramerman, Legal, that <br /> addressed limitations of the Council in the use of public resources. <br /> City Attorney Iles stated the role of Council is not to promote or oppose any <br /> ballot measure.
