These <br /> commenG> address building issues only, additional revisions or additions may be required by other <br /> departments (such as Utilities, Planning or Fire). All references refer to the :997 Uniform Building <br /> Code, as amended by the State of Washington and/or Washington State Energy Code 1997 Edition, <br /> unless stated otherwise. <br /> In order for the processinp of your application to continue, it will be necessary to <br /> �rovide the Building Divis�on with two complete new sets of drawings retlecting <br /> he corrections requested. <br /> General <br /> 1. The general building information - occupancies (M, S-1 & S-3), type of construction and <br /> governing codes should be shown on the cover sheet. <br /> 2. The change of occupancy from B to S-3 requires that the nonconforming building be brought <br /> C�� into com;+liance with Everett ordnance Chapter 16.76. Per that ordnance, an automatic fire <br /> detection and fire suppression system will be required throughout the entire building. Note <br /> that if the demising wall were constructed as a two-hour area sepazation wall, the fire <br /> suppression system would not be required. <br /> 3. The occupancy separation wall between the S-1/M and thc S-3 Occupancy (and the S-3 and <br /> existing M occupanr,y of the adjacent tenant) should be cleazly shown on the plans. This wall <br /> sUould be noted to be of 5/8" type X gwb and extend to the underside of the roof deck. The <br /> exact lay up and construction per Item 16, Table 7-B should be shown on the plans. <br /> 4. If door#3 is part of the occupancy separaticn, it should be shown as a 60-minute, self-closing <br /> assembly. Section 3023 <br /> 5. The listing of the one-hour rated glazing (tested as a wall assembly) should be provided for <br /> review. The glazing should be shown to be installed with the frame listed for that specific use <br /> by the manufacturer.
