It should be pointed out that materials appear to be <br />homogeneous and adjacent to each other may in fact have different <br />contents in terms of asbestos, and only laboratory testing will decide <br />whether they are really the same homogeneous area. <br />Table 2 shows the identified homogeneous areas for this survey. The <br />inspector recognized 16 homogeneous areas during this survey. For <br />each homogeneous area, its representative location and sample <br />number are given in the table. <br />f�iF17[��► • 1 fiF17 - <br />A material that contains asbestos is friable if the material, when dry, <br />may be crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand <br />pressure, and includes previously non -friable material after such <br />previous nonfriable material becomes damaged to the extent that it <br />meets the criteria as a friable material. <br />The term friable during an AHERA asbestos survey applies only to <br />ACM. As can be seen from table 3, there was no asbestos found in <br />the client property. <br />Laborat� Testing Reams <br />Analytical testing is dome in house in Seattle Asbestos Test, which <br />participates in IHPAT and BAPAT QC programs administrated by <br />AIHA. Seattle Asbestos Test has over 20 years of analytical testing <br />experience among its key analysts, and it conducts extensive inter - <br />and intra- laboratory QA/QC testing. <br />
