Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hydrostatically tested as established in <br />NFPA Standard 13. Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and <br />flushed as established in NFP4 Standard 24 for private fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed by <br />a Fire Department inspector. Construction and demolition of buildings shall be in compliance with the provisions <br />of the 2003 Interna.,onal Fire Code, Chapter 14. <br />14. Permits are required from the Fire Department for removal and installation of <br />underground fuel tanks. <br />15. Abandoned tanks shall be pumped out and the fuel properly disposed of prior to <br />removal. No product or rinse water may be disposed of in such a way that it could <br />enter the storm drains system. <br />16. All fire alarm control panels (FACP) and sprinkler valves shall be in heated rooms <br />or closets with standard man door access. Locations shall be approved by the <br />Fire Marshal's Office. <br />17. Trash Collection - Dumpsters over 1.5 cubic yards capacity shail be located a <br />minimum of 5 feet from the building [IFC 304.3.3, 2003 Edition]. <br />18. The Washington State Clean Air Act requires the use of all known, available, and <br />reasonable means of controlling air pollut�on, including dust. Dust generated <br />during construction activities can be contr,�i!ed by wetting those dust sources such <br />as areas of exposed soils, washing truck wheels before they leave the site, and <br />installing and maintaining gravel coiistruction entrances. Construction vehicle <br />track-out is also a major dust source. Any evidence of track-out can trigger <br />violati�ns and fines from the Department of Ecology or the Puget Sound Air <br />Pollution Control Agency. <br />9 <br />ly <br />
