� u1-795.5 Page 1 0:1 <br /> Commercial-Industrial Gas Heating Equipment <br /> UL 795 <br /> Scope <br /> 1.] These requirements apply to factory-built gas appliances having inputs nf more than 400,000 Btu per <br /> hour, per individual combustion chamber which require flame failure and other precautions at�d which <br /> are intended primarily for commercial and industrial installation. The appliances covered by these <br /> mquirements aze gas bumers, comfort hcating fumaces, heaters and gas-fired boiler assernblies except <br /> watertub�boilers having outputs of 10,000 pounds of steam per hour or more. <br /> 1.2 Gas-heating equipment covered by these requirements may be operated without a competent <br /> attendant being constandy on dury at the burners while the burners aze in operation. <br /> 13 These requirements do not apply to process equipment. <br /> 1.4 Other requirements are available for cenval-heating gas appliances, domestic conversion bumers, <br /> floor fumaces, room heaters, unit heaters, and water heaters as defined by the Standazd for Installation <br /> of Gas Appliances and Gas Piping, NFPA 54-1996. <br /> 1.5 A product that contains features, characteristics, components, materials, or syscems new or different <br /> from those cc��ered by the requirements in this standazd, and that involves a risk of fire, electric shock, <br /> or injury to persons shall be evaluated using the appropriate additional component and end-product <br /> requirements as detertnined necessary to maintain the acceptable level of safety as originally anticipated <br /> by the intent of this standard. A product �vhose features, characteristics, components, materials, or <br /> ystems conflict with specific requirements or provisions of this standazd cannot be judged to comply <br /> with this standaz�.
