1 €-08.O.R F , 2 1-08 PROSECUTION AND PROGRESS 3 4 Add the following new section: 5 6 1-08.0 Preliminary Matters 7 (May 25, 2006 APWA GSP) 8 10 Add the following new section: 11 12 1-08.0(1) Preconstruction Conference 13 (October 10, 2008 APWA GSP) 14 1 15 Prior to the Contractor beginning the work, a preconstruction conference will be held 16 between the Contractor, the Engineer and such other interested parties as may be 17 invited. The purpose of the preconstruction conference will be: , 18 1. To review the initial progress schedule; 19 2. To establish a working understanding among the various parties associated or 20 affected by the work; , 21 3. To establish and review procedures for progress payment, notifications, approvals, 22 submittals, etc.; 23 4. To establish normal working hours for the work; ' 24 5. To review safety standards and traffic control; and 25 6. To discuss such other related items as may be pertinent to the work. 26 27 The Contractor shall prepare and submit at the preconstruction conference the following: 28 1. A breakdown of all lump sum items; 29 2. A preliminary schedule of working drawing submittals; and 30 3. A list of material sources for approval if applicable. • 31 33 Add the following new section: 34 35 1-08.0(2) Hours of Work I 36 (December 8, 2014 APWA GSP) 37 38 Except in the case of emergency or unless otherwise approved by the Engineer, the 39 normal working hours for the Contract shall be any consecutive 8-hour period between 40 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of a lunch break. If the 41 Contractor desires different than the normal working hours stated above, the request 42 must be submitted in writing prior to the preconstruction conference, subject to the 43 provisions below.
