The manufacture of HMA may include warm mix asphalt (WMA) processes 18 in accordance with these Specifications. WMA processes include organic additives, 19 chemical additives, and foaming. I 20 21 HMA shall be composed of asphalt binder and mineral materials as may be required, 22 mixed in the proportions specified to provide a homogeneous, stable, I 23 and workable mixture. 24 25 5-04.2 Materials I 26 Materials shall meet the requirements of the following sections: 27 Asphalt Binder 9-02.1(4) 28 Cationic Emulsified Asphalt 9-02.1(6) I 29 Anti-Stripping Additive 9-02.4 30 HMA Additive 9-02.5 I 31 Aggregates 9-03.8 32 Recycled Asphalt Pavement 9-03.8(3)B 33 Mineral Filler 9-03.8(5) I 34 Recycled Material 9-03.21 35 Portland Cement 9-01 36 Sand 9-03.1(2) I 37 (As noted in 5-04.3(5)C for crack sealing) 38 Joint Sealant 9-04.2 I 39 Foam Backer Rod 9-04.2(3)A 40 The Contract documents may establish that the various mineral materials required for 41 the manufacture of HMA will be furnished in whole or in part by the Contracting Agency. 42 If the documents do not establish the furnishing of any of these mineral materials by the 43 Contracting Agency, the Contractor shall be required to furnish such materials in the 44 amounts required for the designated mix.
