Lids for the vaults shall be 23-2436P, 44-332P and 55-332P, <br /> I 3 respectively and shall be slip-resistant. <br /> 4 <br /> 5 All junction boxes and vaults placed in sidewalk or pedestrian path shall meet a gap <br /> 6 acceptance requirement of no more, than 1/2" wide with greater than "1/4" deep <br /> I 7 depression. Any junction boxes or vaults that do not meet the gap acceptance <br /> 8 requirement will be rejected. <br /> 9 <br /> I 10 Concrete Junction Boxes <br /> 11 <br /> 12 Both the slip-resistant lid and slip-resistant frame shall be treated with Mebac#1 as <br /> I <br /> 13 <br /> 14 manufactured by !KG industries, or SIipNOT Grade 3-coarse as manufactured by <br /> W.S. Molnar Co, or SafTrax TH604 by Thermion, Inc. Where the exposed portion of <br /> 15 the frame is 1/2 inch wide or less the slip-resistant treatment may be omitted on that <br /> 16 portion of the frame. The slip-resistant lid shall be identified with permanent marking <br /> 17 on the underside indicating the type of surface treatment ("Ml" for Mebac#1; or"S3" <br /> 18 for SIipNOT Grade 3-coarse, or TH for Thermion) and the year manufactured. Junction boxes, pull boxes and cable vaults containing <br /> I 32 only Traffic Signal Interconnect (fiber optic or twisted pair) cable shall be marked <br /> 33 or embossed with the legend "COMM". <br /> 34 <br /> I <br /> 35 <br /> 36 awl3-20,2(9-29,3(2)) DETECTOR CABLESTF <br /> 37 <br /> 38 Fiber Optic Cable, Electrical Conductors, and Cable <br /> I39 Section 9-29.3 is supplemented with the following: <br /> 40 <br /> 41 9.29.3(2)J Loop Detector Lead-In Cable (New Section) <br /> I 42 <br /> 43 Loop Detector Lead-In Cable (1 pair) <br /> 44 <br /> I <br /> 45 <br /> 46 Two conductor shielded #14 AWG lead-in cable conforming to IMSA <br /> Specification #50-2-1984 shall be installed where shown in the wiring schedule <br /> 47 in the Plans. Where existing loop lead-in cable is present, the existing cable <br /> I 48 shall be pulled out and disposed of. The new lead-in cable shall be spliced to <br /> 49 the loop wires utilizing Buchanan splice caps and crimper and a scotch cast <br /> 50 epoxy 82-B1 splice kit or approved equal as detailed in City Standard Drawings <br /> I <br /> 51 806A, B and C.
