1 1 <br /> 2 9-06.AP9 <br /> 3 Section 9-06, Structural Steel and Related Materials <br /> 4 August 6, 2018 <br /> 5 9-06.5 Bolts <br /> 6 This section's title is revised to read: 111 <br /> 7 <br /> 8 Bolts and Rods <br /> 91 <br /> 10 9-06.5(4) Anchor Bolts <br /> 11 This section, including title, is revised to read: <br /> 12 <br /> 13 9-06.5(4) Anchor Bolts and Anchor Rods <br /> 14 Anchor bolts and anchor rods shall meet the requirements of ASTM F1554 and, unless <br /> 15 otherwise specified, shall be Grade 105 and shall conform to Supplemental <br /> 16 Requirements S2, S3, and S4. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 Nuts for ASTM F1554 Grade 105 black anchor bolts and anchor rods shall conform to I <br /> 19 ASTM A563, Grade D or DH. Nuts for ASTM F1554 Grade 105 galvanized anchor bolts <br /> 20 and anchor rods shall conform to either ASTM A563, Grade DH, or AASHTO M292, <br /> 21 Grade 2H, and shall conform to the overtapping, lubrication, and rotational testing <br /> 22 requirements in Section 9-06.5(3). Nuts for ASTM F1554 Grade 36 or 55 black or <br /> 23 galvanized anchor bolts and anchor rods shall conform to ASTM A563, Grade A or DH. <br /> 24 Washers shall conform to ASTM F436. <br /> 25 <br /> 26 The bolts and rods shall be tested by the manufacturer in accordance with the <br /> 27 requirements of the pertinent Specification and as specified in these Specifications. <br /> 28 Anchor bolts, anchor rods, nuts, and washers shall be inspected prior to shipping to the <br /> 29 project site. The Contractor shall submit to the Engineer for acceptance a Manufacturer's <br /> 30 Certificate of Compliance for the anchor bolts, anchor rods, nuts, and washers, as defined <br /> 31 in Section 1-06.3. If the Engineer deems it appropriate, the Contractor shall provide a <br /> 32 sample of the anchor bolt, anchor rod, nut, and washer for testing. <br /> 33 <br /> 34 All bolts, rods, nuts, and washers shall be marked and identified as required in the 1 <br /> 35 pertinent Specification. <br /> 36 <br /> 37 9-06.17 Vacant <br /> 38 This section, including title, is revised to read: <br /> 39 <br /> 40 9-06.17 Noise Barrier Wall Access Door <br /> 41 Access door frames shall be formed of 14-gauge steel to the size and dimensions shown <br /> 42 in the Plans. The access door frame head and jamb members shall be mitered, securely <br /> 43 welded, and ground smooth. Each head shall have two anchors and each jamb shall <br /> 44 have three anchors.
