I <br /> 1 1 <br /> 2 Each housing shall include a four bolt slip-fitter mount capable of accepting a nominal 2" <br /> 3 tenon and adjustable within +/- 5 degrees of the axis of the tenon. The clamping <br /> 4 bracket(s) and the cap screws shall not bottom out on the housing bosses when adjusted <br /> 5 within the +/- 5 degree range. No part of the slipfitter mounting brackets on the luminaires <br /> 6 shall develop a permanent set in excess of 0.2 inch when the cap screws used for <br /> 7 mounting are tightened to a torque of 32 foot-pounds. Each luminaire shall include <br /> 8 leveling reference points for both transverse and longitudinal adjustment. <br /> 9 <br /> 10 All luminaires shall include shorting caps when shipped. The caps shall be removed and I <br /> 11 provided to the Contracting Agency when an alternate control device is required to be <br /> 12 installed in the photocell socket. House side shields shall be included when required by <br /> 13 the Contract. Order codes shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to include <br /> 14 the option for house side shields. <br /> 15 <br /> 16 This section is supplemented with the following new subsections: <br /> 17 <br /> 18 9-29.10(1)A High Pressure Sodium (HPS) Conventional Roadway <br /> 19 Luminaires <br /> 111 <br /> 20 HPS conventional roadway luminaires shall meet the following requirements: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 1. General shape shall be "cobrahead" style, with flat glass lens and full cutoff <br /> 23 optics. <br /> 24 <br /> 25 2. Light pattern distribution shall be IES Type III. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 3. The reflector of all luminaires shall be of a snap-in design or secured with <br /> 28 screws. The reflector shall be polished aluminum or prismatic borosilicate glass. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 4. Flat lenses shall be formed from heat resistant, high-impact, molded borosilicate <br /> 31 or tempered glass. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 5. The lens shall be mounted in a doorframe assembly, which shall be hinged to <br /> 34 the luminaire and secured in the closed position to the luminaire by means of <br /> 35 an automatic latch. The lens and doorframe assembly, when closed, shall exert <br /> 36 pressure against a gasket seat. The lens shall not allow any light output above <br /> 37 90 degrees nadir. Gaskets shall be composed of material capable of <br /> 38 withstanding the temperatures involved and shall be securely held in place. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 6. The ballast shall be mounted on a separate exterior door, which shall be hinged <br /> 41 to the luminaire and secured in the closed position to the luminaire housing by <br /> 42 means of an automatic type of latch (a combination hex/slot stainless steel <br /> 43 screw fastener may supplement the automatic-type latch). <br /> 44 <br /> 45 7. Each luminaire shall be capable of accepting a 150, 200, 250, 310, or 400 watt I <br /> 46 lamp complete and associated ballast. Lamps shall mount horizontally. <br /> 47 <br /> 48 9-29.10(1)B Light Emitting Diode (LED) Conventional Roadway Luminaires <br /> 49 LED Conventional Roadway Luminaires are divided into classes based on their <br /> 50 equivalent High Pressure Sodium (HPS) luminaires.
