At several locations the bottom <br /> Flange of the existing jolsts have deteriorated. The amounY of deterioration <br /> varies with location but it is generally limited to the outer half of the <br /> cantilever. At the time of our site visit the contractor had attempted to <br /> strengthen the existing joists by thickening the webs with additional plywood. <br /> The new plywood extends over the full length of the cantilever and is <br /> approximately 1-1/8 inch thick by 15 inches deep to match the existing web <br /> depth. <br /> Based on our field observations it Is our opinion that the landings as currently <br /> repaired are adequate to support the req4•ired loads. <br /> Please let us know how you would like to proceed and call us if you have any <br /> further questions. <br /> End of inemo <br /> • . /( � c_. 1 �. <br /> � f�i )/ '�: <br /> !✓' '.�.�.
