I <br /> 1 <br /> 2 8-01.3(16) Removal <br /> I <br /> 3 This section is revised to read: <br /> 4 <br /> 5 The Contractor shall remove all temporary BMPs, all associated hardware and <br /> I 6 associated accumulated sediment deposition from the project limits prior to Physical <br /> 7 Completion unless otherwise allowed by the Engineer. When the temporary BMP <br /> 8 materials are made of natural plant fibers unaltered by synthetic materials the Engineer <br /> I <br /> 9 may allow leaving the BMP in place. <br /> 10 <br /> 11 The Contractor shall remove BMPs and associated hardware in a way that minimizes <br /> I <br /> 12 <br /> 13 soil disturbance. The Contractor shall permanently stabilize all bare and disturbed soil <br /> after removal of BMPs. If the installation and use of the erosion control BMPs have <br /> 14 compacted or otherwise rendered the soil inhospitable to plant growth, such as <br /> I 15 construction entrances, the Contractor shall take measures to rehabilitate the soil to <br /> 16 facilitate plant growth. This may include, but is not limited to, ripping the soil, <br /> 17 incorporating soil amendments, or seeding with the specified seed. <br /> 18 <br /> I 19 At the request of the Contractor and at the sole discretion of the Engineer the CSWGP <br /> 20 may be transferred back to the Contracting Agency. Approval of the Transfer of <br /> 21 Coverage request will require the following: <br /> I 22 <br /> 23 1. All other Work required for Contract Completion has been completed. <br /> 24 <br /> I 25 <br /> 26 2. All Work required for compliance with the CSWGP has been completed to the <br /> maximum extent possible. This includes removal of BMPs that are no longer <br /> 27 needed and the site has undergone all Stabilization identified for meeting the <br /> 28 requirements of Final Stabilization in the CSWGP. <br /> 29 <br /> 30 3. An Equitable Adjustment change order for the cost of Work that has not been <br /> I 31 completed by the Contractor. <br /> 32 <br /> 33 4. Submittal of the Washington State Department of Ecology Transfer of <br /> 34 Coverage form (Ecology form ECY 020-87a) to the Engineer. <br /> I <br /> 35 <br /> 36 If the Engineer approves the transfer of coverage back to the Contracting Agency, the <br /> 37 requirement in Section 1-07.5(3)for the Contractor's submittal of the Notice of <br /> I 38 Termination form to the Washington State Department of Ecology will not apply. <br /> 39 <br /> 40 8-01.4 Measurement <br /> I 41 This section's content is deleted and replaced with the following new subsections: <br /> 42 <br /> 43 8-01.4(1) Lump Sum Bid for Project (No Unit Items) <br /> I 44 When the Bid Proposal contains the item "Erosion Control and Water Pollution <br /> 45 Prevention" there will be no measurement of unit or force account items for Work <br /> 46 defined in Section 8-01 except as described in Sections 8-01.4(3) and 8-01.4(4).
