Mr. Tony Lcc <br />I:vCC Temporaiy Portablc Building Addition at thc Vacatcd Ritc Aid facility <br />May d, 2009 <br />jurisdictional re��iew is in the purview of Labor and lndustries (because it is fabricated of(site). <br />Tony said he wou!d necd to havc thc requisitc revicw information for the portablc foundation; <br />meti:�ds for securing lhe portablc ro lhe (oundation (strapping); and dctails of thc ramp <br />plat(orm and acctss ramp. <br />Portablc Sprinklcrin�: <br />Tony provided a copy of the NFPA Section S14.G.1 "Spaces mider Ground Ploors, Exterior <br />Docks, and Plat(orins. Sprinklers are not required under the porhble or the access plat(orm nnd <br />ramp provided the lour exceptions under this NFPA section are maintained. It appears that all <br />of the exceptions either appl}' directly or arr easy to obtain. Of note the portable and access <br />platform will have to have skirting and the (looring needs to be af "tight" construction. A copy <br />of the exception is attached to this letter. <br />Tony soid that we would not need to provide sprinkler calculations. He indicated that the <br />sprinklering requiremenls of the Rite Aid Facility when in use as a mercantile (acility would <br />have Ucen much more stringent than the proposed use as a pracrce facility. A sprinkler <br />contractor suUmittal would Ue required to show thc head and piping I�youts. <br />Tony,1 Uelievc that summarius our meeting today.
