Placemaking' drives targeted transformation to realize City priorities. Everett is home to
many people -attracting and place -shaping facilities, streetscapes, parks, businesses, non-profit
organizations, festivals, and photogenic spots that help each other through cross -promotions and
partnerships. Those new to the area hear that Everett is THE best place for arena headliners, sports, live
music, and theater, as well as places to eat and drink after the show, and "#Everett" posts fill social
media. The city hosts initiatives designed to include new or previously uninvolved residents as well as
offering traditional events that keep people coming back year after year. The city tracks the effectiveness
of its placemaking efforts, and new residents, visitors, and businesses regularly cite how placemaking
efforts led them to invest in Everett.
Ongoing 1.
