ORDINANCE NO. 7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE amending Section 14.16.600 of the Everett <br /> Municipal Code by providing certain amendments and <br /> additions relating to fire hydrants and standpipes . <br /> 1 THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: <br /> 2 <br /> Section 1: That Section 14.16.600(H) which reads as follows: <br /> 3 <br /> H. Installation of Fire Hydrants in Commercial and Manufacturing <br /> 4 Zones Required. The owner of any building located within one <br /> thousand feet of a city water main and within a commercial or <br /> 5 manufacturing or industrial use zone established by the city <br /> zoning code then in effect, which building is not within one <br /> 6 hundred sixty-five feet of an existing fire hydrant, shall in- <br /> stall, <br /> n-stall, at his expense, a fire hydrant at a location one hundred <br /> 7 <br /> sixty-five feet or less from the building, together with what- <br /> 8 ever pipes and connections are necessary to connect the hydrant <br /> to the existing city water supply . <br /> 9 <br /> Being the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 10 <br /> H. Installation of Fire Hydrants in Commercial and Manufacturing <br /> 11 Zones Required. The owners of any build- <br /> 19 ing used for a school, church, rest home , hospital, residential <br /> apartment, or place of public assembly in whatever use district <br /> 20 located, which building is not within one hundred sixty-five <br /> 21 feet of an existing fire hydrant, shall install, at his expense, a <br /> fire hydrant at a location one hundred sixty-five feet or less from <br /> 22 such building, together with whatever pipes and connections are <br /> necessary to connect the hydrant to the existing city water supply. <br /> 23 <br /> Being the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> 24 <br /> I. Installation of Fire Hydrants Near Schools, Churches , Hospitals, <br /> 25 Assembly Buildings , Etc. Required.
