December 12, 2018 <br /> COUNCIL BRIEFING AGENDA: <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement <br /> with Gibson Media for Digital Marketing Campaigns <br /> Presented by Julio Cortes, Communications & <br /> Marketing <br /> A discussion took place regarding 2018 and 2019 Lodging Tax Advisory <br /> Committee funds. Council Member Murphy requested a recap of 2018 <br /> LTAC funds spent and funds remaining prior to action by Council. <br /> Council Member Murphy inquired about the total contract amount with <br /> Gibson Media and the City's commitment to expend the total dollars. <br /> Mayor Franklin stated she would make sure there is an escape clause in <br /> the agreement. <br /> President Roberts asked for more information relating to 2018 and 2019 <br /> LTAC funding for this project, what may be displaced by the use of those <br /> LTAC funds, and what funding looks like going forward. <br /> Communications Director Meghan Pembroke stated staff would provide <br /> additional information about proposed spending for this project in 2019. <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Interlocal <br /> Agreement authorizing establishment of the Snohomish County <br /> Tourism Promotion Area. <br /> Presented by Julio Cortes, Communications & <br /> Marketing and Tammy Dunn, Snohomish County <br /> Sports Commission <br /> Council Member Murphy asked for additional information regarding the total <br /> dollars raised by the increase in fees, and what percentage of those dollars <br /> are generated by Everett hotels. He also inquired about what would happen <br /> to the dollars should the feasiblilty study determine it is not workable. <br /> Tammy Dunn stated she would follow up with more information. <br /> Council Member Stonecipher inquired if the fees would sunset at the end of <br /> 402 <br />
