7-1-andscaping, buffering, screening. Adding the eating lodge completely buffers
and encloses the rest of the site. Landscaping will enhance present site. We will
add green trim and consult with a nursery on appropriate bushes to add that
compliment other sites on the street.
8- Nuisance irritants. We are not generating any nuisance. We are working with
neighborhood citizens on developing rules that they are comfortable with, music
levels for rooms, smoking in interior courtyard only, etc.
9-Everett General Plan. We need information from the planning department about
the general plan for this area. We are around the block from the Women's Refuge
and three blocks from Cocoon House. We had preliminary converation about the
specific site with the City prior to entering this process and securing grants. Those
conversations were very favorable about this specific location.
10.We have a proven track record of being very compliant and willing to work with
any Everett City requests about how we use our site and serve our youth. Cocoon
House has operated under many conditions which were verbal agreements with
the City of Everett regarding how we run the shelter. Cocoon has maintained
every verbal agreement made with this City and intends to continur to do the
same. Wo believe a positive relationship to the City is crucial and that the needs f
the City are as important as the needs of the youth.
11.Public transit. This site is surrounded by public transit options
Thank you for your consideration. Please contact me as soon as possible.
lAlreis
rl man,
Executive Director
