For interior slab-on-grade insulation, the insulation should be placed on the on the <br /> inside of the foundation wall and extend downward to the bottom of the slab. Once <br /> there, it may extend horizontally for the remainder of the 24". Section C402.2.6 <br /> 7. The air barrier should be detailed on the plans. Testing requirements should be noted. <br /> Section C402.5 <br /> All codes cited refer to the 2015 International Building Code (IBC) the 2015 International <br /> Existing Building Code (IEBC), the 2015 International Fire Code (IFC), the 2015 International <br /> Mechanical Code (IMC), and the 2015 Washington State Energy Code (WSEC), as amended by <br /> the State of Washington and adopted by the City of Everett. The current IBC referenced <br /> standard for accessible design is the 2009 "Accessible and Usable Buildings and Facilities" <br /> (ICC/ANSI A117.1). Additional revisions or additions may be required by <br /> other departments (such as Utilities, Traffic, Planning or Fire).
