Drawings and general provisions of the Contract, including General and Supplementary Conditions <br /> apply to this section. <br /> 1.2 SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to properly construct <br /> and install in place all base aggregate rock including the 2"top leveling course. <br /> 1.3 RELATED WORK <br /> A. Section 33 4600 -Drainage and Subgrade Establishment <br /> 1.4 SUBMITTALS <br /> A. Submit the following within 14 days after award of contract. <br /> 1. Representative sample of 4"base rock. <br /> 2. Representative sample of 2"top leveling course <br /> 1.5 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> A. Testing of the rock will be done at the offsite supply location one week prior to delivery of any <br /> material. Six (6) samples will be taken from the stockpile of material to be delivered to the site. <br /> Stockpiles containing non-conforming material will be rejected. Samples of materials delivered to the <br /> project will be taken at random for testing. Owner will pay for testing. All samples from offsite and <br /> onsite supply stockpiles shall meet specified requirements. <br /> B. Test sieves shall be made of square-hole,perforated plates conforming to ASTM Designation E 323. <br /> C. Testing of No. 200 and 270 sieves will be done using the wet sieve method. <br /> 1.6 Existing Conditions <br /> A. The Installation Contractor is responsible for the repair of any damage done to the existing concrete <br /> curbs,walls,fences,underground utilities, sub-base, or other utility during the performance of his work. <br /> 1.7 SURFACE AREA <br /> A.
